Objectives of the club

To enable the Gayaza High School Society to express themselves through the writing culture and spoken word which is deemed a vital skill for the era we are heading to.

Activities of the club

  1. 2nd Annual Teen Slam Poetry:
Under the club, Gayaza High School participated in the 2nd annual teens slam challenge and we had our very own Ssanyu Rachael emerging as the first runner up.
  2. The Catch up
The executive committee members of the club come together weekly and compile what has been trending in the local, international, business, trending and international news in order to produce a tabloid we have dubbed THE CATCH UP to extend information to the whole student body as everyone can’t access the newspapers provided because of the immense numbers.

Future Activities

  1. The Kaledoiscope
We as the writers club plan on producing the annual school magazine ‘’THE KALEIDOSCOPE’’ for 2018-2019.
  2. COFFEE HOUSE
Coffee house is a platform for the students of Gayaza high school to express their talents through spoken word drama music and other literature. It is also a chance for the students to get inspired by others who have walked the path they desire to walk.
