Gayaza High School emphasizes entrepreneurship education for all the girls. We focus on a whole school approach to skilling the children in order to enable them follow a complete value chain in a particular sector. This year the senior two students have been introduced to baking to enable them develop the skills up to the market. We would love to see them start businesses while in school and we shall provide them with a market either at the school dinning room or at a market day when our parents visit. We also hope that as a school we shall be able to develop a unique product that will be a brand for Gayaza and offer it on the Ugandan market. Among other things we are involving the parents of the students at senior two in order to awaken their interest in business but also to make use of their experience in baking for those who are participating within this sector.
