5102015 is an interesting date because even if you read it from behind it gives the same date. It was the day that the Good Lord made for us to celebrate the world teachers day. Here in Uganda the celebrations took place from Lugogo cricket oval grounds attended by 6,000 people and officiated by the president of Uganda.
The theme of the day was ” Empowering Teachers, Building Sustainable Societies”
Gayaza High School was the only school given an opportunity to exhibit and we showcased our Agricultural Skilling program,E-learning platform,Community service program and the Students’ Entrepreneurial companies.
We were lucky to host the president at our stall and he encouraged the girls and the school to continue with these innovations.
