The FEASSSA Games were officially opened by H.E. the President of Uganda at the Bukedea Comprehensive School Football Arena on Sunday, 17th August 2024. The event commenced at 9:00 am and concluded at 4:00 pm.

Tennis matches began on Monday, 18th August 2024, at the Mbale Sports Club in Mbale. Due to the format of the competition, schools merged to form national teams rather than competing as individual schools. Two teams, Team A and Team B, were formed to represent Uganda, with Gayaza High School students proudly playing in both.

The girls gained valuable experience, competing in multiple matches against opponents from Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. The competition was challenging, especially against the Kenyan teams, as reported by the girls. However, the 12-day event was more than just a sporting experience; it also offered cultural exposure, nature exploration, and fun, including a memorable tour of Mount Elgon’s slopes and a climaxing visit to Sipi Falls.

We congratulate the team for their dedication and hard work in making Gayaza High School proud!
